Rain, Rain Go Away!

A panda like me loves the rain but my human, Hudson, didn't want to slosh around in the rain.  Instead, he invited Brennan over for some indoor fun. It was good to swap stories about our day and hear about the boy's day at school.  This weather had them stuck inside for recess.  No ga-ga ball...which is my favorite!

After saying goodbye to Brennan, Hudson's mom took us boys to get our hair cut.  After Hudson was finished it was my turn to get my fur in order!

Check ya later, 3rd grade friends!  I'm off to dinner with the Karsies family!

A Karate Adventure. Hiyah!

Today Hudson and I channeled our inner ninja and went to an intermediate martial arts class where we practiced lots of things.  We worked on our form, weapons and breaking skills.  It takes a lot of work and memorization.
Hudson is a navy belt in Tang So Do.

Bamboo Goes Green!

Saturday morning Hudson and I woke-up early to join Haydn Mercer and her crew, the New Albany Green Team, clean-up New Albany.  We strapped on vests and gloves and hiked around the New Albany K-1 building and Swickard Woods park and trails in search of litter.
I couldn't believe how much trash we collected!

tap shoes after she came home
from tap dancing class.
She taught me how to do
a shuffle - ball - change.
It was hard at first and then it was fun.
I love to tap dance now!

Cooking Cornbread

Cooking Cornbread
Wednesday, September 23

I helped Paige make cornbread for dinner. First we cracked an egg into the bowl.  Then we poured milk into the bowl and stirred it together.  Then we poured in the cornbread mix and stirred it together. We poured the batter into a pan and put it in the oven for 15 minutes.  Paige had to wear oven mitts because the oven is hot.  After 15 minutes Paige put the oven mitts back on and took the cornbread out.  We ate it for dinner and it was really good.

Bamboo's Weekend with Molly and her Family

I rode the bus home with Molly on Friday, September 11th and I was so excited to meet her family and see what they had planned for my week long visit with them. Molly's mom and brother greeted us off the bus and once her dad got home we got ready and headed to the New Albany High School Stadium for Youth Night. It started off raining really hard but stopped by the time we took the field. This is Molly and I trying to stay dry
We got to cheer with the High School cheerleaders during the 1st quarter of the game. I didn't have a cheerleading outfit so I put some NA bows on and a spirit ankle bracelet
This is me with Molly and her brother after a fun night at the football game
The next morning we were up bright and early for Molly's brother soccer game. Can you believe it was raining again?! We came prepared though
After a little rest, we were then off to a friends house to watch the Buckeye's game
We only got to stay and watch the first half of the game because Molly had cheerleading. Next we headed to her game and had a great evening. She cheers for New Albany Black and they won the game! Here's me posing with her squad!
Sunday we took it easy and went for a short bike ride with Sydney
Monday was a Jewish Holiday. It is called Rosh Hashanah and means that it is the Jewish New Year. We went to our temple that morning for services. We had to get dressed up and I had to wear a tie!
That evening we had dinner with friends. It's customary to eat apples and honey on this holiday to express our hope for a sweet new year. I enjoyed the apples dipped in honey but liked the sweet cake even more!
After dinner we played a little Jenga while the adults talked
What a fun week so far; I can't wait to see what else they have planned!

On Friday, September 4th my adventures continued with Ryann!  She was so excited to have me meet her family!  Her Dad & Brother Trey picked me up from school and we were off to Gymnastics.  She wanted to take a picture of me, but she wasn't allowed.

Saturday we woke up and helped my Dad cut the grass and clean up the porch....

We went to the New Albany Pool to spend the afternoon.

We woke up on Sunday and I went back to gymnastics with Ryann and then back to the pool!!  It sure was hot out this weekend!  Ryan's Dad made dinner and we took a family picture:

Monday was Labor Day so I had an extra day with Ryann!  We went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast:

Ryann then took me to my very first CrossFit class. Wow was that tough but I loved it!  I got to climb ropes, hung on the pull-up bars and had a great workout!

To top off an already great weekend, I was able to watch the 1st 1/2 of the Buckeye Game before Ryann and I had to go to bed....

Can't wait for my next adventure!

New York City!

Bamboo went to New York City this past week with Joseph's dad!
He took him on a business trip to visit NYC!

I got to ride the subway,

I took in all the city views...

 I rode on an airplane!

Finally, after a long day, I snuggled up in bed with the tv remote! What a great visit!

Thanks for a great week, Joseph!
